Edomae Sushi is renowned as perhaps the best sushi train experience in Sydney, and it's easy to see why. One of the standout aspects is its efficiency. The iPad ordering system enhances the dining experience, allowing you to easily browse the Edomae Sushi Yokocho menu, receive prompt service, and an easy way to request your favourite dishes.

It's also noteworthy that there are plenty of raw, grilled and in-between menu choices to cater for every kind of sushi eater, including those with dietary requirements with plenty of vegetarian options.

As there's so much to try, I can attest that visiting solo is perfectly fine, as I've come across several individuals enjoying their meals in comfortable solitude. It's a welcoming environment for anyone looking for a quick, quality sushi and sashimi fix without needing company.

Fun Fact!

Edomae Sushi Yokocho is ranked #4 in my Best Sushi Restaurants in Sydney list. Find out which restaurant ranked #1.

Big Sushi With Big Variety!

The sushi here is notable for its variety and the size of its fish cuts. They are longer than you might find at other sushi trains, offering a more substantial bite and a greater appreciation of the fish's flavour. The nigiri is priced between $4.20 to $8.80 depending on the type you order.

But that's not all. The menu at Edomae Sushi Yokocho boasts an impressive variety of options that cater to all kinds of sushi lovers, including:

  • Salmon (various)

The menu's diversity ensures that every visit can be a new culinary adventure, with something new to try each time. The grilled scallop is nothing short of divine, a must-try for visitors.

But Edomae's expertise extends beyond just sushi. Their octopus karaage is a standout dish, perfectly embodying the balance between a crispy exterior and a tender, flavourful tako. Each bite of this delicacy offers a delightful texture followed by the succulent taste of a well-cooked octopus, making it a must-try menu item and a fun twist on the conventional chicken karaage.

On a side note, they also sell sushi-shaped lollipops which I think is a delightful and quirky addition to their offerings. These lollipops serve as a unique dessert option and make for a charming souvenir or treat for those wanting to bring a piece of their culinary adventure home.
