Epicurean Barangaroo Review

If you’ve ever looked at the Epicurean buffet at Crown Sydney and thought it’d cost an arm and a leg — same. But surprisingly, the price is not too bad for what you get.

Epicurean Buffet Price

At the time of writing, dinner prices are:

  • $135 per person (Monday to Thursday)
  • $155 per person (Friday and Saturday)
  • $145 per person (Sunday)

Remember to check the Epicurean website for the most up to date pricing.

We went on Easter Saturday, so we paid a little more due to special holiday pricing.

Keep in mind there's a 1.15% credit card surcharge, and extra charges apply on Sundays, public holidays, and for groups of 10 or more.

If dinner’s a bit much for your wallet, Epicurean also offers cheaper breakfast and lunch buffets — I’ll definitely be back to check those out.

Getting There

Let’s be honest: Crown Sydney isn’t the easiest spot to get to if you’re driving. Parking is limited and expensive.

But Wynyard Station is only a 10-minute walk away, and the Barangaroo wharf is even closer. I’d recommend public transport.

The Epicurean Experience: Is It Worth It?

Located inside Crown, Epicurean Barangaroo feels very fancy. It’s got beautiful views of Sydney Harbour, especially if you book a spot around sunset.

The open kitchen setup is also great — you can see the chefs preparing and refilling dishes non-stop.

The service? Excellent. Food? Insanely good. Atmosphere? Fancy but not pretentious.

Honestly, it's one of the best buffet experiences in Sydney.

Just make sure to book ahead because it gets busy.

What’s On The Epicurean Barangaroo Menu

Bring your appetite. This isn’t your average buffet.

There’s something for everyone, and I’ve visited a few times now — each time there's something new.

Japanese Sushi & Sashimi

The sushi bar is my first stop every time. Super fresh, always well-stocked, and the sashimi is top quality.

Seafood & Salad

There’s a seafood station with lobster, scallops, crab, mussels, and more. One of the first things you’ll see is a massive oyster tower, you can’t miss it.

Even if you’re not big on seafood, it’s worth trying for the freshness alone. There’s also a great salad bar if you want something light to start with.

Chinese & Indian

You don’t have to choose between peking duck, dim sum, curries, or noodles — just get a bit of everything. Flavours are solid across the board.

Italian & Roasts

There’s proper roast beef and lamb, baked barramundi, pizza, and Turkish-style pide. It’s all freshly made and hot. It’s everything you could want for a Sunday roast.

Cheese & Charcuterie

If you’d rather skip dessert, you’re covered. The cheese and charcuterie station is stacked with a good mix of soft and hard cheeses, plus cured meats and crackers.

Dessert

Let’s be real — this is why we’re all here. Mini tarts, cakes, macarons, lollies, ice cream, and more. Everything’s bite-sized, so you can try a bit of everything (until your plate overflows).

There's also a wall of fresh fruit if you want to feel slightly healthier at the end.

RECOMMENDED

  • Book ahead – it gets busy
  • Arrive hungry, you’ll thank me later
  • Try a little bit of everything – no regrets

Final Words

If you’re after an all-you-can-eat spot that actually delivers on quality, the Epicurean buffet at Crown Sydney is a no-brainer.

Great variety, solid flavours, and stunning views. Whether you're after seafood, sashimi, peking duck, roast lamb, or a dessert feast, Epicurean has it all. The entire experience is a 10/10.

Based on my Epicurean Barangaroo reviews so far, I can safely say it’s worth the price — and I’ll be back.
