TK Something Vietnamese BBQ With Pork, Oysters, Mushrooms, And More

TL; DR | Summary

All you can eat BBQ with a Viet twist is something to explore, especially if you love your Vietnamese food. I've yet to come up with another restaurant that does a fusion of Vietnamese BBQ in Sydney - so this spot is definitely worth a visit. But other than a plethora of beef cuts, Vietnamese pork favourites, and chicken and seafood, the idea of non-stop quality crème brulees and a wide range of dishes makes this place even more special. The only thing missing is the classic Asian backyard BBQ experience that comes with perfecting the Viet BBQ staples.

TK Something Review

@bestspots.com.au All you can eat BBQ with a Vietnamese twist is something to explore, especially if you love your Viet food ⬇️⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ I've yet to come up with another place that does a fusion of Vietnamese BBQ in Sydney - so this spot is definitely worth a visit. But other than a plethora of beef cuts 🥩, Vietnamese pork favourites, variety of chicken and seafood, the idea of non-stop quality crème brulees and a wide range of Vietnamese dishes makes this place even more special. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ The ample Vietnamese food selection, like DIY rice paper rolls, nem nuong and lemongrass pork are unique to this all-you-can-eat BBQ restaurant. TK Something is particularly great for a cheaper alternative to the typical KBBQ and JBBQ spots, at only $44.90pp 😮. ⁣⁣ Price wise, it's a great deal when you consider the variety of meats and seafood - plus they know how to pick the right desserts 🍮. With creme brulee, pannacotta, seasonal fruits and Vietnamese che all included in the price, you'll be left feeling full and satisfied 😄. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ It's also worth mentioning that TK something knows how to offer the kind of drinks you'd want too! With beers 🍺, soju, cocktails and the right kind of alcoholic mixes on offer 🥂, I would recommend drinking here over the bars especially if you're local. Here, you don't need to pay premium for small portions as you would at most bars, but instead you'd get all the BBQ and desserts you can eat 😋! ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ ➡️ Keep an eye out on bestspots.com.au for the full photos, details and insight 👌⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Also, a special thanks to @rockstarroo for extending the invite to experience TK Something again as a local! ⁣⁣ ⁣ ⁣⁣ #westernsydneyfoodie#sydneyfoodie#thefoodblog#sydneymustvisit#wheretogoinsydney ♬ I Think I Like When It Rains - WILLIS

TK Something's menu is filled with tasty treats including scotch fillet steaks, pork ribs, chicken wings, prawns, and all the right veggies. The ample Vietnamese food selection, like DIY rice paper rolls, nem nuong and lemongrass pork are unique to this all-you-can-eat BBQ restaurant.

Priced at $44.90 per person, it's a more budget friendly alternative to your typical Korean BBQ and Japanese BBQ restaurants. I can definitely recommend TK Something to anyone looking for a fusion of Vietnamese BBQ in Sydney's South West, but don't expect a high-end BBQ experience.

All-You-Can-Eat Vietnamese BBQ

At most all-you-can-eat restaurants in Sydney, you sacrifice quality for quantity. It's no different at TK. All the proteins and vegetables taste fine, but there's no wow factor. It's not necessarily the kind of place you tell your friends about because the food was out of this world.

However, if you're looking at value for money, you can't go wrong with TK. Eat your weight in meat and seafood, and just when you think you're done, there's dessert! With creme brulee, panna cotta, seasonal fruits, and Vietnamese che dessert included in the price, you'll be left feeling full and satisfied.

No BBQ experience would be complete without a few drinks to wash down your meal, and TK does it just right. Pick from a range of beers, soju, cocktails, and other alcoholic mixes to accompany your dinner. If you're a local, I would recommend TK's over the bars in the area. You don't need to pay premium for small portions as you would at most bars, instead you get all-you-can-eat BBQ and dessert!

  • Creme Brulee
  • Trying out their cocktails

Final Words

My overall experience at TK Something was quite enjoyable. The only reason why I don't visit often is because the quality of isn't that great. Everything tastes fine, but it's not very memorable or exciting. I think if they can ace certain Vietnamese dishes such as nem nuong, beef and pork selections similar to the other Viet restaurants nearby, or perhaps offer more sides like fried spring rolls, then this would be a great regular spot.
