Verace Pizzeria Review

Verace Pizzeria is a worthwhile pitstop near Macquarie Park Shopping Centre as it's a short 5 minute drive away.

The pizzeria offers a sunlit outdoor seating area with wooden tables and chairs, while the interior's brick and wood design adds a touch of rustic charm.

The casual atmosphere is perfect for a chill catch-up, with a bar, coffee station, and a large pizza oven, so you know the pizzas are authentically made.

Their extensive menu covers tastebuds on all fronts with its selection of antipasti, la Cucina, sides, salads, and plenty of pizzas. They also offer a tempting dessert menu featuring Italian classics like tiramisu and panna cotta.

The pizzas at Verace Pizzeria are above average, but I know quite a few people who really enjoy them. In fact, they've won countless awards both in Australia and internationally.

If you are feeling fancy or have a big group to feed, there is a massive one-metre pizza on offer! You can even choose up to three different pizza styles to mix it up.

In addition, those with dietary requirements don't have to miss out. They have gluten free pizzas and vegan cheese available, so everyone can order something they love.

Verace Pizzeria Menu & Service

The service at Verace Pizzeria can be a bit hit or miss. The first time I tried to visit as a walk-in, the staff gave me a bit of attitude despite the empty restaurant and the fact that bookings could still be made online.

In the end, we ended up going elsewhere, which wasn't the best start. To avoid this, I recommend booking a table in advance rather than walking in to avoid any potential issues.

As for the food, the menu covers everything from antipasti to a variety of pizzas, with dessert options to top it all off. Here's the food we ordered:

Garlic Bread

This comes with three thin slices of freshly baked garlic bread. It's decent but nothing extraordinary. In fact, it's more buttery than garlicky.

Arancini Al Tartufo (Vegetarian)

Homemade arancini filled with arborio rice, black truffle, porcini mushrooms, and Grana Padano, topped with Parmesan cheese. These were really good and definitely worth ordering.

Arancini Alla Bolognese

Arancini balls with arborio rice and a traditional slow-cooked beef and pork ragu are a decent alternative to the vegetarian version, offering a nice meaty twist. I personally would stick to the Al Tartfufo arancini balls.

Lasagne

A slice of oven-baked lasagna with layers of beef ragu, béchamel sauce, and melted mozzarella. It's pretty much your standard lasagna and ideal if you just love lasagnas.

Prosciutto Pizza

This pizza is topped with a fior di latte, baby rocket, shaved Grana Padano, and a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil. It is a delightful option for prosciutto pizza lovers and a sure crowd pleaser.

Tartufata Pizza

The Tartufata Pizza features buffalo mozzarella, mushrooms, black truffle, shaved Grana Padano, and extra virgin olive oil. This is perfect for mushroom lovers who enjoy a hint of truffle. I recommend ordering this pizza.

Maialina Pizza

An all-meat pizza topped with San Marzano tomato, fior di latte, ham, salami, and salsiccia. While it's far from the best meat-based pizza I've had, it's still a good option, especially if you enjoy a hearty combination of flavours.

RECOMMENDED

  • Arancini Al Tartufo
  • Tartufata Pizza
  • Prosciutto Pizza
  • Explore the dessert menu, especially if you have a sweet tooth

Final Words

Verace Pizzeria is a good option to visit in Macquarie Park, especially if you enjoy a variety of pizza choices and a casual dining atmosphere. The food will satisfy your Italian cravings as the menu offers something for everyone. Have you been to Verace Pizzeria? I would love to hear your thoughts.
