TL; DR | Summary

A top contender for the best Italian restaurant in Sydney! Ragazzi offers the most refined Italian experience with an ever-changing daily menu. All the entrees are exceptional, so you'd be hard-pressed to pick an unsatisfying dish on the menu.

Ragazzi Restaurant Review:

Ragazzi is a small yet beautiful Italian-style wine and pasta bar located in the heart of the Sydney CBD at Angel Place. The space is limited, so booking ahead is essential to secure your spot.

The Ragazzi menu is ever-changing, so no two visits will be the same. Each dish is a new, modern creation using seasonal produce with inventive flavours and textures. So depending on what you're craving that day, your experience here will not disappoint – especially if paired perfectly with a glass from their extensive list of wines.

Ragazzi Food & Service:

Ragazzi's portions are smaller, so you may go for two servings or an additional entree. Still, it's worth ordering other items for your table because each dish tastes better than the next! I've had the pleasure of attending Ragazzi Sydney twice now; both were divine experiences. The service is always attentive and personable, with the wait staff being more than happy to help with any questions.

The pasta dishes I've had on two separate occasions were presented elegantly, with vibrant colours and a plethora of textures. The fresh pasta was cooked perfectly, and the sauces were so well-balanced that they didn't overpower the dish's natural flavours.

The beef tartare was an excellent starter, and I can't recommend it enough. The dish itself is made from fresh ingredients that were perfectly seasoned. To top things off, the large fried crisps added a contrast in texture compared to the silky egg yolk, bringing the whole dish together. Ordering the beef tartare at your next visit will not disappoint.

Recommendation:

You can hardly go wrong here as an intimate bar and restaurant is the perfect spot for any occasion. Whether that's a romantic date night, extended lunch, special occasion, or anyone looking for fine Italian dining. You'll be blown away by the attention to detail, from your plate to the leather seating. Almost everything on the menu is worth trying, so I recommend sharing where possible! Do expect to make a dent in your wallet, though, as Ragazzi is on the pricier side.

However, as the menu changes daily, this is one of the best Italian restaurants in Sydney, as you're guaranteed a new experience. You get delicious and unique food, a vast wine list to choose from, and an upmarket ambience to match, so it's hard to go wrong with visiting Ragazzi.
