Besides, you can even customise the flavour to your hearts content. This desert has lots of variety and is absolutely delicious 🙌⁣ ⁣ ❓ Did you know Saimai in Thai translates to silk rope? This type of bingsu really captures the essence of silk rope 👌 through a combination of creamy and aromatic notes of its flavouring against the silky, icy 🧊 texture of bingsu. Each bite will be more silky than ropey in texture (just so you know) 😜⁣ ⁣ But there's more. You can also enjoy a full dining experience at this restaurant with plenty of hearty noodle dishes 🍜, fried seafood offerings 🍤, and a taste of the lively Thai street food scene 🤤⁣ ⁣ 📘 To dig deeper about Edae 1982, find it all at bestspots.com.au ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ #patbingsu #bingsu #patbingsoo #bingsoo #bingsu🍧 ♬ Blue Eyes Girl - Muspace Lofi

At Ed Ae', the Bingsu Saimai dessert is the star attraction and main reason to visit. It's a unique spin on the classic Korean patbingsu, but it's delightful reinvention sets it apart from your everyday dessert. But you would be mistaken if you think this is where the exceptional food experience ends...

Ed Ae' Unique Thai Cafe 1982's menu is full of savoury dishes that will pique your interest while paying homage to Thai cuisine. From hearty noodles that comfort your soul to seafood delicacies, there's something to cater to every palate.

You might initially come for the food, but you'll stay for the ambience. The beautifully curated interior is beaming with serene white hues, creating a light-filled dining space that feels clean and soothing.

While not a common choice in Thai restaurants, it serves as a canvas, allowing the rich colours of the food and the vibrant Thai-inspired details to shine through, creating a striking visual contrast that is both elegant and impactful as you dine.

Your classic Thai cafe with a modern twist

Ed Ae Unique Thai Cafe's menu is a diverse treasure trove that's waiting to be explored. So far, my favourite standout dish from the menu is the calamari corn; tastes interesting as it sounds and you won't regret this. More on this below.

The signature bingsu saimai dessert is presented in an enticing choice of flavours such as taro, yakult, blue jasmine for instance, and more. Besides, you can even customise the flavour to your hearts content. This desert has lots of variety and is absolutely delicious.

The vibrancy of these flavours and the ability to creatively customise your bingsu with your choice of toppings make it a worthy dessert spot for your next outing.

But on top of that, the well-planned layout ensures ample space for an intimate meal or a group gathering whilst maintaining a comfortable, welcoming ambience. Their service is generally fast and efficient with a modern QR code ordering system. Simply scan the QR code at your table, browse the digital menu at your leisure, and place your order directly from your smartphone. Overall, I really can't fault their service the delivery was fast and professional.

Try this: Thai Milk Tea Bingsu Saimai

Thai milk tea bingsu, glass jelly, brown sugar jelly ball, white bread, sliced almonds, whipped cream, and condensed milk.

Did you know Saimai in Thai translates to silk rope? This bingsu really combination really captures the essence of silk rope. A combination of creamy and aromatic notes of Thai milk tea with the silky, icy texture of bingsu. Each bite will be more silky than ropey in texture (just so you know).

But the real magic happens when the accompanying toppings come into play.

The glass jelly lends a pleasant, chewy texture and a subtle sweetness that beautifully offsets the robust flavours of the milk tea.

The brown sugar jelly balls are a true delight, introducing a depth of flavour with their molasses-like sweetness and a fun, bouncy texture.

Including white bread is unusual, but might surprise your friends into questioning your present life choices. With its fluffy texture, the bread absorbs the milky tea and the melting ice, becoming saturated with flavour, which admittedly can be a hit or miss depending on whether you can mentally tolerate this risque dessert choice.

Calamari Corn

Fried calamari and corn with truffle oil.

This fried calamari is perfect - tender on the inside yet delightfully crispy on the outside, providing a satisfying contract of textures in every bite. The corn brings a sweetness and a burst of freshness that beautifully compliments the rich taste of the calamari. Finally, the subtle hint of truffle oil adds a distinct earthy aroma that elevates the dish a touch further.

Whether you enjoy it as a standalone dish but I recommend as a side to your meal, the calamari corn is an innovative approach to Thai cuisine with the saltiness on the side you need. The blend of flavours and textures makes it a must-try for anyone seeking the most satisfying culinary experience possible. I could easily re-order this time and time again - it is sort of like great fried chicken or chips in how addictive it is.

RECOMMENDED

  • Any Bingsu Saimai flavour of your choosing
  • Calamari Corn

So, whether you're a fan of traditional Thai dishes, looking for an innovative dessert experience, or simply eager to try something new and delicious, Edae has something on the menu for you.
