La Vigne Review

@bestspots.com.au A spacious dessert hangout and an all-in-the-one cafe/bakery in Eastwood ⬇️⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ La Vigne Bakery, located in the heart of Eastwood, is a popular destination for locals and visitors 😊, offering a spacious and comfortable dining area that doubles as a casual hangout spot ✌️. With an extensive and diverse array of delectable baked goods and mouth-watering desserts, it's no wonder that La Vigne Bakery has become a beloved fixture in the area 😄.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ But don't be fooled by the humble storefront - the interior of La Vigne Bakery boasts a spacious courtyard, perfect for those who want to relax with friends or family over coffee and dessert 🙌. This hangout offers plenty of food and dessert options by being with both a bakery and a café. For instance, their signature patbingsu 🍨, a Korean shaved ice dish with toppings such as mango 🥭, injoelmi and strawberry, is a must-try 💯, and interestingly they also have a drinking bingsu! Other options in the bakery include plenty of cakes, sausage bread, profiteroles, macarons and other pastries 🤩.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ You can't generally go wrong with the Patbingsu here, as it's overloaded with flavour and filling 🤪. The only downside to their patbingsu is that it's not as good as we remembered years ago. There are heaps of tea and coffee options for their drinks, smoothies, fruity-ades (like lemonade and kalamansi-ade 🍋), and so much more. While you won't find the best Patbingsu in Sydney here, the range of drink options 🥤, quick bites 🍽️, and seating area make it an ideal spot for a casual hangout with friends or family.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ ➡️ For the insider info, head over to bestspots.com.au ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ #sydneyfoodreview#foodinsydney#sydneyvisit#whatiatesydney#foodiesydney ♬ Feeling Good Vibes (60S) - Audiosphere

Don't be fooled by the humble storefront - the interior of La Vigne's bakery/cafe hybrid boasts a spacious courtyard. Paired with plenty of food and dessert options, this cafe is the perfect place for those who want to relax with friends and family over coffee and dessert.

There's a vast selection of your favourite Korean desserts. For instance, their signature patbingsu, a Korean shaved ice dish with toppings such as mango, injoelmi and strawberry, is a must-try, and interestingly they also have a drinking bingsu! While it's not the best patbingsu in Sydney, it is still a solid dish. It's overloaded with flavour and filling. The only downside is that it's not as good as I remember it to be from years ago.

Other items in the bakery include plenty of cakes, sausage bread, profiteroles, macarons and other pastries. Plus, there are heaps of tea and coffee, smoothies, fruity-ades (like lemonade and kalamansi-ade), and so much more!

A Korean bakery and cafe with an extensive menu

La Vigne's menu boasts much creativity and variety. With so many choices of baked goods, cakes, bingsu, freshly baked bread, and cookies, you'll be tempted to get a few items to take away. This is my go-to patbingu spot in Eastwood. But if shaved ice isn't to your palette, there's also smoothies, frappes, fruit-ade, and strawberry lattes to try.

An Eastwood cafe with spacious seating and a lovely courtyard

Don't be fooled by the small exterior. The cafe extends far into the back and offers plenty of seating options for groups small and large. The courtyard seating area has been renovated over the years but still exudes a homey vibe that encourages customers to stay and chat over dessert. The service is also quick and friendly, and I have had no issues in my years of visiting.

Bakery Goods

If you're familiar with other Asian bakeries such as 85 Degrees or Top Bread, you'll be familiar with the selection of bakery foods available at La Vigne. Feast your eyes on piles of Swiss cake rolls, cookies, manju, sausage buns, croquettes, and loaves of bread. But that's not all! There's also a massive range of cakes, macarons, dacquoise, doughnuts, and profiteroles. The bakery items are generally fresh and reasonably priced.

Mango Patbingsu

Shaved ice with mango pieces, mango syrup, condensed milk, and vanilla ice cream.

The mango patbingsu is the perfect summer dessert to share among two to three people. During mango season, you'll receive sweet, juicy, and flavourful chunks of fresh mango on top of your patbingsu. The shaved ice has the right mix of condensed milk and mango syrup, providing a balanced sweetness. Visiting outside of mango season? You can still have this patbingsu! It'll still come with a generous topping of defrosted mango chunks, providing plenty of flavour.

Final Words

La Vigne is a great place to stop if you're in Eastwood looking for a quick feed or a place to relax with dessert and a drink. The atmosphere inside the cafe is relaxed, with lots of open space to talk and chill. In addition, there's a massive range of Asian cakes, baked goods, and bread to takeaway and enjoy later. It's definitely one of the best cafes in the area for tasty desserts and drinks.
