There's nothing better than a good old-fashioned Aussie breakfast at Bondi Beach. Bill's has all the classics covered from eggs and bacon to toast and the classic burger and chicken schnitzels.
The atmosphere is casual and relaxed to match the lifestyle of the beach. The spacious seating area guarantees you'll have a good time over a good feed.
The food is simple but delicious, with all the staples you expect from an Aussie breakfast cafe. The coffee and drink selection is also excellent, making it the perfect spot to start your day.
This review focuses on the Bondi Beach location, however, Bills is also located in Darlinghurst, Double Bay, and Surry Hills. So, you're likely to come across one of their restaurants if you're around Sydney.
If you're looking for a big hearty breakfast or a light lunch, you'll find what you're looking for here.
The Food & Service
An easy and light atmosphere awaits you at a spacious restaurant that's a five minute walk from Bondi Beach.
The service is attentive and quick, with the servers bringing out your food ASAP so that you can enjoy your meal.
Be warned that it will be packed, especially during peak hours as they will be guaranteed to have a high volume of customers. However, there is an SMS texting system so you can put your name down and wait for a table virtually. You'll be notified via text message once your table is ready, so you can get a drink from the bar or have a quick stroll by the beach.
The Bills Bondi Beach menu has the perfect balance of options and the food itself is simple but tasty. There's nothing too fancy going on, but you'd be coming here for a good cafe feed.
Coffee & Hot Chocolate
Aussies love a cup of good quality coffee and you can rest assured that the coffee here matches our high standards.
The special hot chocolate, on the other hand, is intriguing. The chocolate is painted against the glass walls of the cup, making for a very photogenic beverage. If you don't mind putting in a bit of work to mix the chocolate, this hot chocolate is a must try.
Full Aussie
You can't go wrong with the Full Aussie breakfast. It comes with bacon, herbed garlic mushrooms, cumin roast tomato, chilli and fennel sausage, scrambled eggs, and a slice of Iggy's sourdough toast. Packed with protein, vegetables, and carbs, it's a great all-round breakfast.
Sweet Corn Fritters
The sweet corn fritters are served with roast tomato and spinach and is perfect on every level. You can expect a crisp batter with juicy bits of corn. It's not oily at all and is a good-sized serving for those who don't have a big appetite.
Crab, Chilli and Lemon Linguine
This is an amazing pasta dish on all fronts! The linguine is cooked perfectly and the sauce has a good seafood flavour with a hint of citrus from the lemon. The crab meat is fresh and generous, leaving a lasting impression on your taste buds.
This is definitely a highlight on the menu, however, the portion is on the smaller end. This is a good option for a light lunch so I wouldn't recommend it to those with a big appetite or looking for a hearty meal.
Noteworthy menu items
There are a few Thai, Korean, Japanese, Chinese, and Vietnamese inspired flavours across the menu, including the coconut curry, chilli miso salmon, and chicken and rice noodle soup. So, there's definitely something for everyone and it's good to see some variety.
Overall, Bills is a great spot for an Aussie breakfast. Head there for a quick bite or a leisurely meal. There's also the option to order takeaway online and pick up directly from the restaurant or have it delivered (if you're in the delivery radius).
In terms of price, it's on the higher end of the scale for breakfast, but it is to be expected when visiting the Eastern Suburbs.

Oooo l’m keen to try the Sweet Corn Fritters and the Linguine based on your food photography alone. I only have had the signature Ricotta Hotcakes with Banana and Honeycomb Butter so far when l went to the Surry Hills Branch.
Corn fritters I highly recommend at Bills! I got to try the hotcakes next time I’m at Bills
