Cafe 0.6 Review:
Hidden away in Alexandria, there's creativity displayed amongst one of their cafes that goes by the name of Cafe 0.6.
The menu is full of interesting creations such as tea infused coffee and the beautiful interior always impresses.
Cafe 0.6 is ahead of the game with the next coffee phase: tea flavour + espresso shot + milk. This unique blend elevates the coffee experience and would convert any coffee hater.
If you're not sure what I mean, head to Cafe 0.6 and try it for yourself! It's absolutely delicious and satisfying. There's a great selection of tea and coffee, so no one misses out.
The Food and Service at Cafe 0.6:
Cafe 0.6's menu has been well thought out, so I'd advise you take your time reading through the choices. There's a weekday, weekend, and seasonal menu to explore.
I've been to Cafe 0.6 a few times and have always found the selection to be the most interesting in Sydney.
The service has always been wonderful. The staff are friendly, attentive, and quickly advise of any potential delays.
Lost in Space:
I've had the pleasure of trying their signature dish called 'LOST IN SPACE'. This moffle (waffle x mochi) dish looked fit for a classy fine dining restaurant.
With an amazing presentation and flavour combination, it leaves you in disbelief that such a dish can be found in a humble cafe. This is definitely one of the stars of the show at Cafe 0.6. It's absolutely delicious and satisfying.
Here's what the dish consists of, but has been updated since:
- Moffle (mochi x waffle)
- Salted duck egg
- Black sesame paste
- Peanuts
- Ice cream
- Berries
The Silverline:
Another hit at Cafe 0.6 is the Silverline. On first appearance, you'll ponder at the chocolate dome. However, once you pour the beautiful chocolate sauce on top, the dome will melt, revealing the treasures inside.
Once again, it's a brilliant and creative dish that will leave you in awe. It contains:
- Japanese Cheesecake
- Messina's sorbet
- Berries & other fruit
- Caramelised Banana
- Mint
- Callebaut Chocolate
- Pouring sauce (now pandan flavour)
Udon for Winter:
The Udon For Winter is best ordered during any cold weather as the broth is light yet full of flavour. The noodles are cooked well and each component has its place whether that's adding umami or textural notes. I would recommend this for those who want a heartier dish, especially during winter.
Give Me Wings:
If you enjoy fried chicken, then you must try the Give Me Wings.
I found the dish pretty safe for fried chicken, but if you're looking for a classic, this will do the trick.
However, I do like how it's served with sweet potato crisps and a yuzu mayo, which gives it a little bit of zing.
Drinks:
At Cafe 0.6, you can expect delicious coffee with a great range of teas on offer. There's also juices and fruit frappes if you're looking for something on the sweeter side.
The stand out is the 'OUT OF SPACE COLLECTION', which consists of Mercury (matcha) and Saturn (black sesame), however more flavours may be available when you visit.
Interior:
Upon your first step into Cafe 0.6, you'll immediately notice the level of detail that's been put into the design and layout of the space. The choice of furniture, lighting and decorations all come together to give off a warm and inviting feeling.
To my discovery, I found that the interior decorating company who designed Cafe 0.6 is the same as Roji Monster & Yakiniku Yokocho among other great places. Vie Studio is the mastermind behind all these stunning restaurant designs.
There's also room available for a workshop, or for future events, and is perfect for those wanting a more private and intimate setting.
It's clear that they've paid attention to the finer details. So, the next time you're after a beautiful cafe to catch up with friends or to do a bit of work outside of the office, choose Cafe 0.6.

There are so many great Asian inspired cafes in Sydney but dare I say that Cafe 0.6 is one of my top picks? I dare!
Sure, some of the items on the menu are a miss but I know they can be improved upon, as the owners seem to be constantly experimenting with new dishes.
